Teaching people of all abilities, including complete beginners, how to make a stained glass window and ensuring that everyone leaves with a hand-made masterpiece of their own design is undoubtedly a tall order. Thankfully, tutor Sarah Finch is up to the challenge. Every time she has led a course at Ammerdown, she has delighted all who took part. Here is some of the feedback she has received: “Sarah adjusted remarkably well to individual need and ability, and was both unfailingly patient and funny”; “She is approachable and skilled, thinks everything is possible, and really inspired us!”.
Therefore, if you fancy creating and making your own design in stained glass, this is your chance. Sarah promises that, with expert guidance and help throughout, you will be able to take home your own piece of 20cm x 20cm.Sarah has been teaching glass techniques since 1994 to both children and adults of all ability levels, most recently at the City of Bath College and the Holburne Museum in Bath. She also designs and makes glass to commission for public and domestic settings.
