Poetic and Prayerful Journey

Poet-Priest Malcolm Guite focuses on the beautiful and mysterious ‘I AM’ sayings in St John’s Gospel, exploring new and refreshing ways to re-encounter these familiar texts. Malcolm will draw on eight of his sonnets, written in response to the ‘I AM’ sayings and from his book Parable and Paradox, inviting you on a journey to reflect and consider how the sayings can deepen and centre our faith in Christ.

He has published poetry, theology, and literary criticism, has worked as a librettist and writes Poet’s Corner, a weekly column for the Church Times. Malcolm’s books include: Mariner, a spiritual biography of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Parable and Paradox, The Singing Bowl, Sounding the Seasons, Theology and the Poetic Imagination and Faith Hope and Poetry Malcolm has edited two poetry anthologies for Lent and Advent: The Word in the Wilderness and Waiting on the Word.
