Strong Track Record in Hospitality
The Ammerdown Centre started life in 1973 as an Adult Education Centre dedicated to dialogue and reconciliation.
It was founded by a group of Christians who had the vision for a venue that would bring together people of different background and beliefs and that would facilitate the breaking down of the barriers and prejudices present in us all.
Together, they raised money to convert the stable block of Ammerdown House (owned by Lord Hylton, one of the original Founders) into a conference and retreat centre that would provide 'home form home' hospitality and facilitate mutual learning and shared encounters.
Today, the Ammerdown Centre runs a wide variety of day and residential courses that appeal to mind, body and spirit and also welcomes groups of all walks of life that use the Centre's facilities for their own events and training.
