Statement in the wake of recent acts of violence

The Sisters of Sion condemn the recent shocking acts of religiously motivated violence.  During this past week, innocent civilians have been murdered in Copenhagen, one of whom was Jewish, as he protected congregants inside a synagogue as a Bat Mitzvah was being celebrated.  We have also witnessed the execution of Coptic Christians in Libya and the murder of three Muslims in the USA.

We stand in solidarity with Jews, Christians and Muslims worldwide, especially the Jewish community in Copenhagen and Christians across the Middle East.  We offer our sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who have been murdered.  We are deeply concerned about the rise of anti-Semitism and continue to work and pray for peace.
