From 7 to 11 May 800 Superiors General gathered together to confront themselves about the reality of religious life today.

The Plenary Assembly of the International Union of Superiors General (UISG) is constituted by all those who lead the different women Religious Congregations spread throughout the world. The incumbent UISG President, Sr Maureen Cusick, NDS, gave her words of welcome and presented the theme chosen for this year 2010:  “I know the fountain well which flows and runs…though it is night”,  inviting each one to deepen together the theme through the inputs from experts and fraternal dialogue, to listen to the Word which the Spirit addresses to the Religious of today.
