STATEMENT ON THE CONFLICT IN ISRAEL AND GAZA

The Sisters of Sion deeply regret the loss of all innocent life in this painful conflict.  We pray fervently that a just and lasting peace for everyone in the region will be found soon.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who grieve.

We stand in solidarity with Israel in its need for security and we stand with the Palestinian people in their aspirations for an independent nation. At the same time, we deplore the actions of those outside Israel/Palestine who would use the tragedy in Gaza to legitimate any anti-Semitic or anti-Islamic words or actions.

May the G-d of peace lead all of us in the ways of peace.
