            Three associates participated in the Chapter from July 8 – 12. They were Maurício Locatelli from Brazil, Flory González Trejos from Central America and Barbra Goetz from Canada/US. We were pleased that they were able to share with us not only some of the serious reflection on chapter issues but also some lighter moments of celebration of our local cultures. We very much appreciated the joy, enthusiasm and dynamism of the charism lived in unique ways by these members of the larger Family of Sion. Thank you for your presence!

                     ”To have been present at the General Chapter in Rome this July has been a blessing of God.

It was a great honor and challenge for me to be able to give a presentation on the life of the Associates and Friends of the Province of Central America.

The experience has been very positive.  To share with the Sisters of the Congregation and to hear their voices expressing their needs, but also their dreams made me feel an integral part of the community itself.

I also cannot help but mention how moving it was for me to meet Associates and Friends from the Provinces of Canada-US and Brazil.   The feeling of kinship was clear and strong among us.”

         Participar do Capitulo Geral foi uma experíência  importante e de grande resposabilidade, já que estava representando o desejo de todos os leigos que compartilham com as Irmâs, no Brasil, do Carisma de Sion

           Encontrar-me com Flory e Barbara foi de grande valor, ja que levarei   para o Brasil alguns pensamentos e modo de agir dos associados/as, amigos/as   em outros continentes.   Nesses quatro dias  senti,  em  todas as Irmâs, um firme propósito de encontrar e clarear o papel do leigo dentro da Congregação. Acredito que ao final do Capítulo serão definidas algumas diretrizes que nortearão os grupos de associados/as,  amigos/as que já existem e facilitarão o surgimento de outros.

              Que o Espirito de Deus ilumine  a todas .
