News from the General Chapter

The prayer for the opening ceremony of the 26th General Chapter of the Congregation of Our Lady of Sion involved a special call directed to each delegate. It took place at 9:00 on Sunday, June 26th, providing a favorable scenario for the meditation and reflection activities in the Chapter and evoked comparisons with the “holy ground” referred to in the biblical passage Exodus (3, 4-5). Each region in the Congregation was represented by regional symbols brought by each Chapter participant. Another important moment during our prayer was the "washing of the feet," an exercise in mutual service.
