Eucharistic Celebration for the Opening of the 26th General Chapter

News from the General Chapter

At the end of the morning of June 26th in São Paulo, following the official opening of the 26th General Chapter of the Congregation of Our Lady of Sion, Fr. Donizete Ribeiro and Fr. José Maria Leite (both Fathers of Sion) celebrated Mass in four languages.

In his homily, Fr. Donizete reminded all present of three people in the Gospel (Lk 9, 51-62) who are invited by Jesus to follow Him. He emphasized that "the liturgy invites us to true service," and ended by saying that "we should respond firmly to God and serve one another".
